Upon the completion of the Birkman questionnaire users will receive a detailed and comprehensive report providing insight into their behaviours, what makes them unique and how this can impact on those around them. To help users better understand their results the Birkman reports are split into four defined sections.
- Usual Behaviour – This describes how you see yourself. It highlights how you typically prefer to behave. It describes the behaviour that others will typically see when your ‘needs’ are met.
- Needs – This section describes what you expect from your environment and the people around you. It highlights the conditions in which you are likely to be happiest and most productive. These important needs are often unconscious and usually go unnoticed by others; that is why a specialised assessment, such as Birkman, is needed to bring them to life.
- Stress Behavior – There may be times when your ‘needs’ go unmet – these can be acute situations (e.g. a personality clash) or chronic (e.g. an environment that is draining and unsupportive in some way). In such instances a reactive, counter-productive behaviour can emerge. This section outlines the potential causes of Stress Behaviour, how you might respond in those circumstances and what this means for your performance and productivity.
- Interests – One of the most valuable deliverables of The Birkman Method is the attention paid to the tasks, roles and activities that attract you the most. This section helps you to understand which of the interests give you the greatest, or the least, satisfaction and how this might play out in your day-to-day performance and career choices.
